I can relate to the many women who are incarcerated at CIW because i was there. My ex-husband is lucky because he is alive as is mine.  We had brutal fights to at times we ended up in a hospital. I don’t believe anyone has the right to lay their hands on no one.  Men fight for ego, sport, and ownership. Yet, women fight for self-defense, the protection of their children.  That is why this film is so important to view as millions of women die behind their husbands killing them.

As i look back my life would have been different if I had found a shelter, a place to stay, to where i could be safe.  Now I can help the cause to free women for saving their own lives and live with their adult children, grand children to fulfill the lost memories of from long ago.
